Three Hindus were abducted by military criminals in Pakistan’s Punjab province and given an ultimatum requesting the launch of their partners from police custody.
The incident took place in the Bhong region of Rahim Yar Khan city, around 400 kilometers west of Lahore, on Wednesday.
The patients, identified as Shaman, Shameer, and Sajan, were near the Chowk Sawetra Basic Health Unit ( BHU) in Bhong when five armed dacoits abducted them at gun and took them to the Katcha rivers place, a region renowned for criminal activity.
The group threatened Ahmedpur Lama police station agent Rana Ramzan in a video released by the outlaws ‘ leader Ashiq Korai, warning that the kidnapped students would die if their 10 household members were not freed.
Additionally, the gang threatened to attack the authorities. The video showed the assaulted Hindus in stores, pleading for their release.
The incident highlights the ongoing violence in the Katcha region, a rivers belt that includes elements of southern Punjab and Sindh regions. Despite numerous operations, authorities have struggled to halt these criminal gangs ‘ influence because they usually kidnap people for payment and target majority Hindu communities to ensnab them.
In the same area last season, dacoits ambushed two authorities vehicles, which resulted in 12 officers being killed and seven others being injured.
