President-elect Donald Trump and his former vice president, Mike Pence, were reunited for the first time since January, 2021 at the death of the later Jimmy Carter.
Obama and Trump were sitting in front of the camera while the couple exchanged a long, active conversation, despite Obama having only recently warned voters about the dangers of a second Trump president before the election of last year. Due to Trump, there was a lot of debate about whether or not Obama was born in the United States, which would have prevented him from becoming commander in chief.
After that, Obama and Mike Pence had a conversation and were sitting behind him with his family Karen. Former First Lady Michelle Obama was unable to enter due to a scheduling conflict in Hawaii.
Obama even stepped up to stop George W. Bush from passing him in their chapel, which was a former first lady. Whether the Bushes spoke with coming second lady Melania Trump or Donald Trump was unknown to the cameras.
Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton, both of whom were once secretary of state, were given votes on the same chapel, but they entered from the reverse side, avoiding awkward exchanges between the vehement political rivals.

First lady Jill Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were seated in the front of their forebears, with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris standing next to each other in the chapel.
Harris was caught stealing a look from Donald Trump, who defeated her in November and then won the election to the White House the following year.
