Utah has not seen much of the blatant drama that has accompanied the issue of unlawful immigration in places like Arizona, New York, Aurora, Colo., or other places around the image, including Springfield, Ohio, of all places. Utah, given its generally heterogeneous and, frankly, somewhat tedious nature, does not often produce the regional news. Certain, we do have the occasional high-profile murder case or property management quarrel, and Mike Lee makes the stories now and then, but often, my express flies below the radar.  ,

However, one of the hallmarks of the illegal immigration issue is that critical issues appear in cities and towns, not only Springfield, where no one would have anticipated. Consider Herriman, Utah, for instance. One of the many places in Utah that has seen progress, and not just from California ex-pats, is Herriman.  ,
In November, KUTV confirmed what most people already knew: Tren de Aragua is in Utah. Captain Tanner Jensen, director of the Statewide Information and Analysis Center, told the outlet that the Colombian group is mainly focused on forced labour, sextortion, trafficking, drug smuggling, extortion, robbery, and burglary.  ,
              Â
However, the station also made mention of Colombian gang members who were involved in a shooting that occurred in a Herriman apartment building in September that resulted in a car crashing through a gate.  ,
This kind of legal action is an infectious disease that cannot be treated only in a specific region. The famous sphere of influence of Ren de Aragua has also spread to Riverton, a city that is close by. Carlos Henandez, a Colombian immigrant and citizen of Riverton, spoke with The Post Millennial. Hernandez claims that officers in Herriman have never taken the risk that Tren de Aragua poses seriously and has asylum-seeker position. In the September affair, his brother was shot. He has provided evidence to the police, but crew members are still out there and had threatened his home.  ,

According to The Post Millennial:
Hernandez informed TPM that those crew people who have been released from jail have a criminal history, and that the officers have been informed of this, but Hernandez claimed that law enforcement in his place is not doing enough to address the situation.
Hernandez told TPM that government “were going to relocate me and my family, they were going to change my home because we are victims of attempted crime around in the United States,” and that they “were going to help us.”
While there is no such thing as a government, One can at least comprehend the trajectory of Jared Polis ‘ (D-Colo. ) thought process when it comes to illegal immigration and the crime it entails. Like many on the Left, his is an lamentable, tone-deaf, and self-serving approach. Although Herriman is known for welcoming immigrants, one may wonder why, if Hernandez ‘ claims are accurate, the police have been weak in resolving the issue of one of the most aggressive South American groups establishing a presence in their area. It could be that the affair from September has been classified as a gang fight. The only issue with that justification is that inter-gang wars not stop as a result of gang violence and criminal activity.

Likewise, Riverton Mayor Trent Staggs, who lost a republic charge to John Curtis, seems to understand the gravity of the position and, by all lighting, intends to collaborate with Tom Homan when he takes the wheel after this time:

Utah was once referred to as” the land of the blonde and the bland,” according to sportscaster Bob Costas. When I first moved here, that was the situation. From time to time, I pass through Riverton and Herriman. In many ways, they resemble most non-descript Utah cities, with their cookie-cutter sections, standard-issue financial shops, vehicles sprays, and LDS chapels on almost every corner. However, there is unmistakably something gloomy and perilous at work there.  ,
Perhaps there is a desire to assume that the Leftist or residential idealistic vision of America does prevail in the face of the time. The Biden administration’s four years of office came dangerously close to destroying any utopian dream, and the recent events have demonstrated how the Communist strategy for America has actually worked out in California.

The Laken Riley Act vote and Staggs ‘ commitment to work with ICE are encouraging. However, the public must actively and vocally reject the policies that have harmed the country if we want to make it healthy.  ,
