A gas gas blast on Thursday evening caused a coal mine to decline, trapping at least 12 workers in west Pakistan, according to authorities. The incident occurred in Singidi, a village in Balochistan state.
Save operations are live, with teams properly removing debris.
According to a report from news agency PTI, mines investigator Abdul Ghani reported that rescuers have been carefully clearing particles from the mine for many hours as part of the continuing rescue operation.
As of Friday, none of the workers had been rescued, according to Ghani.
Every available reference is being used to save the life of the buried coal miners, according to Shahid Rind, a spokeswoman for the Balochistan government.
According to Rind, an inspection has been ordered to determine the cause of the decline.
Pakistan’s coal mining industry has a record of health problems, leading to injuries and casualties. In a split event on Thursday, security forces rescued eight of 16 me staff kidnapped by militants.
