ABU DHABI: The UAE has sent 700 kilograms of immediate food supplies to the sufferers of floods that have affected several areas of Somalia as part of its ongoing humanitarian efforts.
The aid is in line with the instructions of the leadership of the UAE to intensify philanthropic efforts and lessen the suffering of the fraternal Somali people. The shipping included necessary food items to meet the needs of roughly 150, 000 people from the affected people and give immediate aid to areas that have been devastated by the floods.
Ahmed Juma Al Rumaithi, UAE Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Somalia, stated in this regard that the support demonstrates the UAE’s determination to remain in cooperation with the fraternal Somali people in these challenging times.
The program reflects the UAE and Somalia’s close diplomatic relations, he added, underscoring the wise leadership of the UAE’s commitment to providing assistance and support to the disrupted communities.
