A group of concealed intruders, believed to be teens, has been linked to two brave home invasions in Queens, with one event leaving a native hospitalised.
The team of nine broke into a house on 147th Place in Flushing on Sunday morning by hammering a back window with a nail. When outside, they attacked a 37-year-old person, bludgeoning him with the hammer and stabbing him in the back, police said.
In a dark Toyota Sienna, the defendants fled after taking jewelry and other items of clothing. The wounded native was taken to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, where he is now in stable state.
Video footage shows the attackers, most wearing face masks and winter garments, gathered on the bend of the home. One can be seen holding a hammer, and the other can be seen gripping a weapon as winter falls around them.
Before, only hours into the New Year, the same team allegedly targeted another house on the same city. At around 3 a. m., they apparently smashed a living room window and stole around$ 25, 000 in dollars and a ring. No accidents were reported in that event, and they fled in a dark car.
The NYPD has made the video community and is urging the government to assist in identifying the offenders.
