As a result of the devastating fires in Southern California, dozens of people have been forced to leave their homes and businesses and make at least 20 arrests for looting properties.
Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna stated in a media conference on Thursday that” we are up to 20 to 20 people who chose to enter our places and endanger these poor people who have been through so much of their house” over the course of last night and today.
The judge described the plundering incidents as “absolutely unacceptable”, adding,” As you know, when we have an evacuation order by law, if you remain in that place, you are guilty of a criminal. If you commit certain crimes, it may jump up to a misdemeanor. I’m going to be urging our people to begin putting that into practice.

Maria explained that any unauthorized individuals who are discovered in locations under evacuation orders may be” subject to arrest”.
” I hope that is as obvious as I can make it”, Luna said. ” Our first decision isn’t to perform protection. It’s not to make an arrest. It’s to help people. But if people choose to undertake acts, they’re going to be held responsible”.
According to Luna, the big fire in Los Angeles County are a “fluid and growing problems,” and many of the official figures released by law enforcement and emergency response may change as more details emerge. Addressing the latest number of individuals arrested for stealing, Luna said,” However, I do believe that to go up. We’re not going to handle that kind of action”.
According to Fox 11, Luna confirmed that 180, 000 people had been placed under removal requests in Los Angeles County as of Thursday, while an extra 200, 000 people had received removal instructions.
In a Thursday speech on X, previously Online, Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-Calif. ) warned” Looting will not be tolerated. These regions have endured plenty suffering. Our entire on-the-ground personnel will increase with the National Guard deployment to 8, 000. We will proceed to make use of any available resources to protect our neighborhoods.
