Sharing a picture of the top 10 “most strange things” in a blog on X, previously Twitter, the TSA tweeted,” TSA’s Major 10 Best Takes of 2024 are trending! While most people are making up their list of what was HOT last year, we’re here with a list of what was NOT ( prohibited items )”.
Police at the Newark International Airport reportedly detained a man after attempting to sneak a 9-millimeter gun by hiding the broken gun in a Lego box, according to TSA officials. An October media transfer by the TSA noted,” The car’s drop, flower and weapons magazine loaded with , 12 bullets , were detected mixed among the plastic parts of a Black Panther LEGO set”.
A customer at the Chicago Midway International Airport was discovered smuggling a smoke brush inside a toothpaste tubes in February. In a post on Instagram, the TSA wrote,” 9 out of , 10 dentists , do not advocate”.
The TSA added,” Seems like they wanted to add a run of minty-coolness to their traveling knowledge. What do we believe? Attempting to conceal products is a sure way to find yourself in a paste-y position”.

Another odd discovery was made at the Miami International Airport in April. A man allegedly tried to sneak lived snakes through airport security by bringing them inside his trousers, according to the TSA.
Another major strange Government discoveries included a cannabis hidden in a nut butter box, a weapon hidden in a woman’s shoe, a gun hidden in a teapot, a replica of an improvised explosive device attached to a walkie-talkie, Methamphetamine hidden in a person’s crutches, and a blade hidden inside a laptop.
A weapon that was hidden inside a baby buggy was the most unexpected object the TSA discovered.
A TSA spokesperson told Fox News that the movie is a “great picture of the types of prohibited items” and that the items featured in the movie “also represent the kinds of items that cause delays in checkpoints” following the release of the best strange discoveries for 2024.
The TSA spokesperson continued,” Transportation Security Officers at airport checkpoints are really good at preventing]prohibited items ] from entering the secure side of airports and in the passenger cabins of commercial airplanes.”
