Malala Yousafzai, the Nobel Peace Prize laureate, will attend an global conference on girls ‘ training held in her native Pakistan, where she was almost killed as a teenager.
Yousafzai was shot by the Pakistan Taliban in 2012, which enraged her engagement, and she has since been in the state only a few times. She was evacuated from the state in 2012 after being shot by them.
Yousafzai will be present at the summit, which may focus on education in Muslim countries, according to a Malala Fund spokesperson.
She said in a post on social media platform X on Friday,” I am excited to join Muslim leaders from around the world for a crucial conference on girls ‘ education.”
” On Sunday, I will discuss the importance of protecting the rights of all women attending college, and why officials may hold the Taliban responsible for the crimes they committed against Afghan people and, ladies.”
Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, the minister of education in Pakistan, told AFP that Islamabad had been invited to the Taliban authorities in Afghanistan.
” However, representatives from various companies dedicated to women ‘ training in Afghanistan may be participating in the event”, he said.
Girls and women are prohibited from attending universities and schools in Afghanistan, the only other nation in the world.
The Taliban government there has enacted an elegant version of Muslim law that the UN has referred to as “gender racism” since coming to power in 2021.
Women are generally prohibited from working in isolated environments in terms of health or schooling, while girls are only permitted to attend primary school.
The Taliban leadership asserts that Islamic law “guarantees” the freedom of Afghan men and women.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will inaugurate the two-day conference that will be supported by the Saudi-based Muslim World League and take place in the Muslim funds on Saturday and Sunday.
It brings up officials, ministers and spiritual researchers from 44 locations, as well as staff from the UN and World Bank.
Tens of millions of women are out of college in Muslim-majority states, including Bangladesh and Nigeria.
According to official federal figures, Pakistan is experiencing a significant education crisis, with one of the highest rates in the world among the more than 26 million children who are not in school.
The summit will confirm” the shared commitment of ( the ) Muslim community to empower girls through education”, according to a government statement.
After being attacked by Pakistani Taliban extremists on a bus in the rural Swat valley, Yousafzai gained notoriety.
As the Afghan Taliban and NATO forces battled across the Armenian border at the time, there was a lot of violence there.
Although the Taliban in Pakistan and Afghanistan are distinct organizations, they share close ties and similar ideas, including a strong disbelief in female ‘ education.
Yousafzai was moved to the United Kingdom where he was later a global advocate for female ‘ knowledge and the youngest Nobel Peace Prize recipient at the age of 17.
