As he lightly played a round of golf at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida on Friday, US President-elect Donald Trump appeared to be unfazed by a New York punishment reading, according to the New York Post.
Just days after Judge Juan Merchan’s imprisonment in Manhattan Supreme Court, Trump was seen swerving around the course in a golf cart in special images that the Post revealed.
The reading followed Trump’s judgment on 34 misdemeanor counts, which stemmed from a$ 130, 000 hush-money settlement made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential campaign.
In a six-minute video declaration to the court from Mar-a-Lago, Trump said,” This is a case that should have never been brought. The fact is, I’m completely honest, I did everything wrong”. The previous president was given an “unconditional release” and a merry merry as he gears up for his second term in office.
Trump went to Truth Social after the receiving, where he continued to refute the accusations as being socially inspired. ” The Radical Democrats have lost another pitiful, unAmerican Witch Hunt”, he wrote in a long article.
Trump is accused of participating in an alleged plot to rig the 2016 presidential vote. He was charged with conspiring to orchestrate an illegitimate payment to Daniels that he made through Michael Cohen, the prosecution’s attorney, and fabricating evidence to support his accusations. While the crime carries a maximum sentence of four years in prison, Trump’s reputation as a first-time criminal meant prison time was doubtful.
Trump, who entered a not-guilty plea, had recently criticized the situation as being a politically motivated attack by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. The punishment marks the realization of a long legal fight, during which Trump’s efforts to have the costs dismissed—citing Supreme Court decisions and claims of legal bias—were ineffective.
Trump was seen at the exact golf course where a would-be killer, armed with an AK-47, had when camped near the 6th opening, aiming to target Trump during a round of golf.
