According to Fox News, Los Angeles has been hit by a unique fire storm as the Walls blaze spreads throughout the state and causes widespread destruction.
On Friday nights, LA state was battling at least six main fires, with lights edging closer into the state’s San Fernando Valley. A fireplace storm is now visible on extraordinary video as it heads toward Mulholland Drive in the Santa Monica Mountains.
What is a ‘firenado‘?
A fireplace storm, also known as a ‘ firenado’, occurs when a fire and stormy breezes create a spinning row of fire, dust, and smoke. The trend is fueled by rapid rapid wildfire growth caused by intense warmth.
The flames have claimed the lives of at least 11 people, destroyed over 12, 000 buildings, and burned more than 37, 000 acres of land. In an area that hasn’t seen weather for more than eight months, firefighters are facing challenging situations with windy weather forecast to profit over the weekend.
