BOGOTA: At least 10 people have died after a small plane crashed in north-western Colombia, officials confirmed on Friday, reported Xinhua.
The plane, which Pacifica Travel operated, went missing on Wednesday on its way from Jurado to Medellin and collided in a remote area of Urrao, a city in the north of Antioquia. Eight people and two crew people were aboard at the time.
” However, there are no individuals. We have 37 personnel working at the page, and we are expediting the next step, which involves recovering the bodies and coordinating with criminal police”, said Carlos Rios Puerta, chairman of Antioquia’s risk management division.
Adverse weather conditions, he said, are complicating the healing process, as it must be conducted on the ground without the aid of aircraft.
Pacifica Travel made a speech outlining its commitment to helping the families of the victims. We will always be there for them, offering guidance, and meeting any needs brought on by this tragic event.
