According to the New York Post, New York City Fire Commissioner Robert Tucker last year reached up to Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and offered his help in the way of sending rescuers to L.A. to help put out the city’s devouring flames. JetBlue presumably also offered to sail the FDNY rescuers to Los Angeles for nothing.  ,

But according to the Post’s cause, Bass said thanks, but no cheers. Other city officers were shocked at her refusal, as she allegedly believed that fighting a fire is a” special creature” unlike fighting flames in houses.  ,

Zach Seidl, Bass’s lieutenant governor of contacts, responded to the complaints, calling them misleading, and saying they have not rejected anyone’s offer to help. The Post continues to tell its history, but whether that’s the reality or harm power is beyond our control.  ,
Fox News claims to have spoken with the FDNY, and a spokeswoman confirmed that a statement may be prepared. A few minutes later, the same director changed their tune, telling Fox,” We are now able to confirm or post on this.”  , Seems a small smell.  ,
Los Angeles County Fire Chief Anthony Marrone made this statement at a press event on Wednesday, telling reporters that the area lacked the staff it needed to deal with the situation. There aren’t enough paramedics in Los Angeles. According to him, the state should handle four fires of this magnitude, adding that the fire division was “prepared for one or two big paint fires, but no four, especially given these sustained winds and low humidities.”  ,

Over the past year, we’ve witnessed stupidity at the highest rates across nearly every federal agency that has to do with the Los Angeles area, but Bass may be the most ignorant of them all.  ,
Kristin Crowley, the captain of the Los Angeles Fire Department, made a quick point about it on Friday. As my partner Matt Margolis wrote:  ,
In a televised interview, Crowley officially criticizes the president’s funds cuts to the LAFD. In her remarks, she highlighted important issues such as limited funding, staffing shortages, and functional readiness, warning that the city was prepared for the latest fire season, which has already displaced over 100, 000 residents.
Did Los Angeles fail you and your department and our city, according to the city’s statement? asked FOX LA’s Gigi Graciette.
As a chief, I have the authority to articulate precisely what the Fire Department needs to do in order to meet the needs of the community, Crowley said.
” Did they fail you”? Graciette pressed.
” That is our job, and I tell you, that’s why I’m here”, Crowley responded. So let’s get what our firefighters need to do their jobs.
” Did they fail you”? Graciette asked again.
“Yes.”

Despite Bass’s alleged refusal to accept official help from the biggest — and arguably, the most skilled and respected — fire department in the country, firefighters from several others states, Canada, and Mexico have been assisting with the L. A. fires. Nearly 1, 000 inmates with firefighting experience can also assist the Golden State.  ,
