Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg promoted his company’s post-election revamp with an interview on” The Joe Rogan Experience” last week wherein Silicon Valley’s censor-in-chief immediately became a champion of free speech and manhood.
On Rogan’s radio, Zuckerberg said,” It’s one thing to say we want to be kind of like loving and create a great atmosphere for all, and I think it’s another to generally say that “maleficiency is awful.”
I really think we sort of swung historically to that portion of the kind of, the range, where you’re like, okay, manhood is dangerous, we have to get rid of it entirely. It’s like, no, both of these things are good. Best? You want romantic strength, you want male energy. I believe there will be some parts of society where either one or the other will own a greater presence. I think that’s all great. However, I do believe that commercial lifestyle actually had a tendency to be this somewhat stale aspect.
Zuckerberg claimed that his current acquiescence to martial arts had influenced his thinking. In 2022, the Facebook founder stated to Rogan that he had begun Portuguese jiu-jitsu education following coronavirus lockdowns.
” I didn’t really feel that until I got involved in martial arts, which I think is still a much more masculine society”, Zuckerberg said. ” Not that it doesn’t try to be diverse in its own way, but I think there’s really more of that power it”.
In a separate meeting with Rogan only days before the election, Vice President-elect J. D. Vance speculated that Zuckerberg had been a vocal supporter of the Republican ticket.
” My key idea is that Zuck is now a Trump supporter, but he didn’t say that formally, of program”, Vance said. ” But finally he is”.
The two credited the effect of martial artists on Zuckerberg’s change, which was labeled by the Washington Post as a “bro-ification”.
There are very few things that will make you into a conventional more than military art, Rogan said.” Zuckerberg has gotten definitely into mixed martial arts, he’s got really into jiu-jitsu and definitely into education,” he said.
Have you seen any studies that essentially link liberal politics and hormone levels in young people? Vance said. ” But maybe that’s what’s going on”.
In response to a listener’s guessing Zuckerberg was taking performance-enhancing drugs, scientist and creator Kevin Bass shared one of these studies from 2021 on X. 136 good people in 2011 were polled for political preferences when “weakly affiliated Democrats received additional testosterone,” according to a scientist at Claremont Graduate University.
Another study conducted by a team of researchers in Australia in July examined how changes to hormone and the pressure hormone cortisol might affect people’s opinions. They discovered that men who had higher cortisol were more likely to support the U.S. and Mexico border wall or the British country’s withdrawal from the EU.
On Rogan’s podcast last week, Zuckerberg repeatedly criticized the Biden administration and criticized the repression regime that his own business engaged in.
” I don’t think that the]government ] pushing for social media companies to censor stuff was legal”, Zuckerberg said.
Zuckerberg claimed that whenever Meta turned down inquiries from the White House,” all these various agencies and branches of government basically just started looking into and attacking our business”
” It was brutal”, Zuckerberg said. ” It was brutal”.
The CEO of Facebook and Instagram announced that its platforms do stop doing fact-checking as Americans flocked to the Republican administration’s inauguration next year, which followed the interview. Additionally, Zuckerberg recently appointed Dana White, the CEO of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, to the board of directors of Meta. She spoke at the Wisconsin nominating agreement last year and strongly supported Trump.
Zuckerberg claimed that we made reasonable efforts to address those concerns without going into the arbiter of reality, but the fact-checkers have simply been to politically biased and had destroyed more trust than they’ve built, especially in the U.S.
Zuckerberg, nevertheless, has made similar claims before, writing to the House Judiciary Committee only last summer that his business was “ready to force up” on election meddling in the form of online repression. But by September, Facebook was  , censoring , Federalist coverage of Haitians hunting geese in Springfield, Ohio.
