Special Counsel David Weiss condemned President Joe Biden’s attacks on the offender indictments against Hunter Biden as “vindictive” and” careful” after the cheerful commander-in-chief pardoned the second child.
In the thin 27-page report, Weiss wrote that “other president have pardoned family members, but none have used the ceremony as an opportunity to denigrate the Department of Justice’s public servants only on bogus accusations.”
” I prosecuted the two cases against Mr. Biden because he broke the law”, he added. A majority jury, which found Mr. Biden innocent of weapon charges and Mr. Biden himself guilty of tax offenses, agreed.
President Biden criticized the son’s prosecutions in December by granting Hunter Biden a comprehensive forgive that goes back through 2014.
” I have watched my brother being carefully, and badly, prosecuted”, the senator said. No reasonable person can conclude that Hunter was simply given his son’s merit because they cannot draw any other conclusions from the facts of his cases, which is incorrect.
In the review published Monday evening, but, Weiss, who had first delivered a lenient plea bargain struck down by a federal judge, disagreed.
” These indictments were the pinnacle of thorough, impartial studies, not partisan elections”, Weiss said. ” Actions that were based on careful or vindictive motives have been refuted by eight courts across a number of courts.”
In a precursor to receiving a pardon, Hunter Biden had earlier been found guilty of three felony firearm crimes by a Delaware jury in June. He had also pled guilty to tax offenses.
Weiss wrote that these prosecutions “were the essence of the equal application of righteousness” and that everyone in the Untied States must follow the same rules as everyone else.
However, while the special counsel attorney criticized the president for his criticism of the separate investigations into the first family, Republicans also criticized Weiss ‘ document as “incomplete.”
” This be clear: the Biden DOJ was never going to sue the Biden Crime Family”, said House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., in an instant press release. The investigation into the Bidens ‘ influence-peddling schemes was uncovered by the House Oversight Committee’s research into how Joe Biden knew about, played, and benefited from his family trading in the Biden brand.
President Biden was accused of “impeachable offenses” by a statement from Comer’s council that was released in August. House investigators claimed that the president, his household, and their affiliates benefited from Joe Biden’s high office career to brush in$ 27 million from foreigners and businesses since 2014 through shell companies meant to “hide these payments from scrutiny.” The wealth came primarily from foreign enemies, including Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, China, Romania, and Panama.
” By monetizing the Vice Presidency for his family’s benefit ,]Joe Biden ] abused his office of public trust, placing the welfare of his family ahead of the welfare of the United States”, the report said.
Federalist Senior Contributor Benjamin Weingarten said on X Weiss that” says nothing” about issues related to the Foreign Agents Registration Act ( FARA ) despite the evidence that Hunter Biden had likely broken laws that required him to register as a foreign agent and was possibly a sex trafficker.
” Mr. Biden made his money by using his last name and links to secure profitable business opportunities, such as a board seats at a Russian professional conglomerate, Burisma Holdings Limited, and a cooperative venture with people associated with a Taiwanese energy conglomerate”, Weiss wrote.
Hunter Biden doesn’t get charged, but, after his parents extended the pardon for a century. Weiss omitted some of the most contentious allegations made by whistleblowers for the Internal Revenue Service ( IRS ), including those that claim DOJ interference in IRS investigations.
