A significantly racist, pro-Hezbollah sheikh is set to give a blessing at Trump’s inauguration next Monday, and several Trump supporters who had been delighted to discover Trump’s repeated affirmations that he would help, not abandon, America’s ally Israel are now scratching their heads. What’s going on? Was this merely an monitoring, a failing to vet the Dearborn Imam Husham al-Husainy effectively? Or does the receiving Trump administration’s new policy change come about in a positive way?

Additional indicators point to a change in this regard, with Israel and Hamas nearing a ceasefire in Gaza as one of the main ones. Back in June 2024, Trump declared:” Allow Israel finish the job in Gaza”. But back in Oct. 2023, no longer after Hamas massacred 1, 200 Israelis, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the purpose of Israel’s conflict in Gaza was the “elimination of Hamas”. Since then, he has repeatedly stated this, making it clear that he won’t consider” the work” finished until Hamas is no longer a controlled force. For the unmistakable reason that they would let Hamas the chance to live and regroup, Israel has rejected the Biden regime’s demands for a ceasefire.
Israel appears to have accepted Hamas ‘ continued presence, according to Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken, who reported on Tuesday that” Israel and Hamas are on the verge of agreeing to consider a cease-fire in Gaza and release victims it.” Contrary to Israeli repeated Jewish proclamations that this must not and would not occur, Hamas is still alive and is also at risk of becoming a part of the government of Gaza once more after the conflict ends.
And then comes al-Husainy to provide one of the four prayers at Trump’s opening. Al-Husainy is an open supporter of Hezbollah who, back in 2006 at a Dearborn rally in support of the terrorist group, “held the picture of Hezbollah leader] Hassan ] Nasrallah aloft on the stage”. Therefore in Feb. 2007, al-Husainy appeared on Fox’s Hannity and Colmes, where Sean Hannity asked him:” Did you say that Hezbollah is a criminal organization, dear”? Al-Husainy answered:” That is your reason”. Hannity pressed him:” This is a yes or no. Is Hezbollah a criminal business? Yes or no? Is Hezbollah..”. Al-Husainy responded:” No”.

After that direct reply, however, al-Husainy equivocated, but he also signed a document in 2009 that stated:” We tell our sons to get ready to carry out their duty in Holy Jihad and maintain the path which our youthful brave men in Hezbollah began in Southern Lebanon”. And he has since expressed his word-and-deed aid for Hezbollah.
Al-Husainy even seemingly supports Sharia. Al-Husainy demanded legal regulations on the right to free speech in September 2012 as controversy erupted over the picture that claimed Muhammad was to blame for starting the Benghazi warfare attack, saying that” they should set a law not to insult a spiritual head. The only way to remove love with love is to. Or else, evidently.
Al-Husainy, aShi’ite, even opposes the Saudi royal family, which is Sunni, in Oct. 2019, he also charged the Sauds with being “agents of the Jews” . ,
So why is this racist, pro-Hezbollah sheikh appearing at Trump’s opening? For his part, al-Husainy truly supports the once and future leader. Al-Husainy said a few days before the election,” The boys will turn to girls and the girls will turn to a boy,” under Kamala Harris ‘ and the Democrats ‘ mismanagement.

On that, Trump and al-Husainy do certainly notice eye to eye. But why did Trump choose this contentious sheikh to speak at the opening? Al-Husainy may have been chosen in full awareness of his obnoxious record, but there are definitely imams who haven’t said anything incendiary or supported a designated terrorism evil party. Back at the beginning of December, Trump picked Massad Boulos, a Lebanese-American business and the father-in-law of his child Tiffany, to be his top adviser on Arab and Middle Eastern matters. According to a Reuters report at the time, Boulos ‘ “father and father were both influential in Lebanon’s elections,” and his “father-in-law was a major supporter of the Free Patriotic Movement, a Christian organization affiliated with Hezbollah.
Is it possible that Massad Boulos shares his father-in-law’s aid for Hezbollah, and so saw no problem with al-Husainy’s pro-Hezbollah views? Is Boulos behind al-Husainy’s look at the opening? Now that all of what is above and more has come out about al-Husainy, whoever is behind this if regret, acknowledge his or her error, and cut al-Husainy from the system. Unless, of course, we may see his look at the opening as a change in Trump plan. Time will tell.
