On Wednesday, Poland’s prime minister, Donald Tusk, charged Russia with planning “air evil” attacks against international airlines, alleging damage and diversion on Polish ground and abroad.
Speaking during a conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Polish money, Warsaw, Tusk described the situations as “very serious” and noted Poland’s role in countering Russian actions.
” Poland plays a vital role in Europe in countering acts of sabotage and escape that Russia is organising—not only in Poland but internationally”, Tusk said. Russia “planned weather terror attacks against airlines all over the world,” according to the statement.
The remarks come in response to recent reports of explosive devices being flown from Lithuania to the west, with accusations that Moscow is responsible for the situations.
The products, including modified electrical massagers containing volatile substances, have been linked to a fleet fireplace outside Warsaw. Similar incidents in Germany and the UK have also been linked to Russian interference, according to Lithuanian officials and UK anti-terrorism officers.
During the deals, Tusk pledged to speed-up Ukraine’s entry to the European Union, with Poland now holding the EU’s rotating president.
He declared,” The Polish president will break the deadlock and labor with Ukraine and our Western partners to accelerate the accession process as much as possible.” The sooner Ukraine is in the EU and Nato, the sooner Europe receives the political certainty it needs, according to Selenskyy, who stressed the importance of joining American organizations.
The meeting was held as a result of growing concern about US President-elect Donald Trump’s pending foreign policy decisions. Trump has pledged to put an end to the Russian-Ukraine issue, which has sparked concerns in Kyiv over possible territorial concessions in exchange for peace.
The two leaders even addressed the decades-old Volyn deaths controversy, in which Polish people seek rifting and a dignified burial in contemporary Ukraine. There is a very obvious issue to resolve, Tusk said, and that Polish families must honor their loved ones with dignity. Both parties acknowledged development, but neither side gave specific information about the steps agreed to.
Tusk praised the speech as a major move forward, stating that” the fact that we understand one another about this issue and have taken action constitutes major progress.”
