British Prime Minister Keir Starmer made an unannounced visit to Kyiv on Thursday to sign a” 100-year accord” and bolster Ukraine’s support ahead of Donald Trump’s resumption as president.
It is Starmer’s second formal visit to Kyiv since taking office in July, and it coincides with Volodymyr Zelenskyy‘s busy schedule of meetings with friends of his country before Trump’s scheduled profit the following year.

UK adviser to Ukraine Martin Harris greeted Starmer at Kyiv railway station.
According to a statement from Downing Street, the prime minister is scheduled to meet with Zelenskyy and sign a “mark-breaking 100-year collaboration to strengthen security ties” between the UK and Ukraine.
Putin’s “imminent proper failure” has been a reference to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s almost three-year-old invasion of Ukraine, Starmer said.
” Rather, we are closer than ever, and this relationship will get that connection to the next level”, he said of the authority.
The two parties agree to work together on drones and other battlefield technology, as well as a system to find grain from exported by Russia from held areas of Ukraine.
