People interested in politics knew that the holy grail of work was working for a delegate or senator when I wore a younger man’s garments and lived in Washington, D.C.

Work on the Hill didn’t paid quite well. The District’s majority of staff members lived elsewhere because they couldn’t afford the rent. And the days were terrible, twelve and fourteen-hour times were not surprising.
Staff tended to burn out pretty quickly. Moreover, it was a tough business, as they would destroy each other to get noticed.
That’s why I truly laughed as I read this story about Political employees working on the Hill. The entitled much dimwits want a 32-hour week.  ,
Progressive Hill workers are asking for a 32-hour week

Members of Congress don’t often give a hoot about “worker achievement”. The majority of staff members are not very good managers. Some are harsh morons. Also, there’s no such thing as a “40-hour workday” for most employees on the Hill, so why should someone need a “32-hour workday”?

In accordance with the proposal, parliamentary staffers may also put in long hours when their manager is present. But when Congress is in session, city company staffers may be entitled to an written, 20-percent-lighter plan, and when it is not, D. C. based workers may have a lighter week.
The organization wrote in its notice that” we do not like a 32-hour workweek just to be another unique benefit for Legislative staff.” Members of Congress you” we hope that by adopting this plan, they can contribute to the promotion of a more lasting week as a regional focus and demonstrate how it can be used by private and public companies across the country and the world.”
On the second try, people on both sides of the hallway soon criticized the proposal.  ,
” Why not be strong and request for a 0-hour workday”? asked Democratic Rep. Ritchie Torres. ” I wonder how blue-collar Americans may think about white-collar employees demanding a 32-hour workweek”.
Chip Roy, a Texas Republican, suggested that DOGE and Elon Musk taking a close look at Hill employee salaries.

” The anger about this program comes from a basic mistake. According to group spokesman Michael Suchecki, CPSA is never calling for Congress to compromise its performance with a new office routine. We think that implementing a rotating 32-hour function week will not only improve productivity and job quality, but also enhance them, according to researchers who concur.

Which scientists? What method were they employing? Democrats adore saying things like “researchers say …”. or” research show..”. without mentioning the cause. It makes them sound authentic. It’s actually the number one way of bull ***ting without saying anything meaningful.  ,
This generation’s attitude toward work is defined by not wasting any more energy than they think is necessary for the job.
They believe that their company owes them all, whereas they owe nothing to it. The Babylon Bee explains.

, Republicans are hoping the Democrat staff adopt the 32-hour week. In fact, cutting it to 20 days may likely allow Republicans to sling rings around Democrats on the floor.
