    Video/Pics: Manhunt underway for arsonist who started 4 fires

    A fire that occurred next to a sleep subway passenger and started three different fires in New York City has been the subject of a manhunt led by police.

    In a Wednesday article on X, previously Twitter, the New York Police Department explained that an “unidentified person” started a fire at about 2: 20 a. m. on January 10 near 254 Broadway, which damaged a “marked NYPD crisis car”. Soon after the first fire occurrence, the suspect started a second fireplace near 14 Murray Street at approximately 2: 35 a. m. According to police officials, the subsequent fire resulted in damage to an empty vehicle.

    The suspect set a paper bowl on fireplace and threw it into a garbage can near the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall train station at around 2:55 a.m., according to the New York Police Department. Eventually, the think” set fire to a pile of garbage alongside a sleep passenger” at about 3: 40 a. m. on the northern” J” train at the Woodhaven Boulevard train station.

    The person “feeted the area on foot,” according to the New York Police Department. This incident resulted in no reports of injuries.

    The suspect is seen in the photos shared by the New York Police Department sporting a black mask and a black suit. On the New York City subway, the suspect ignites the fire next to the sleeping passenger, according to a video of the incident.

    According to The New York Post, police on Thursday were still looking for the suspect in arson. The report also noted that Crime Stoppers has provided a$ 3,500 reward for information on the arson incidents.

    The New York Police Department’s Arson and Explosion Unit is looking into the string of arson incidents, according to The New York Post.

    An illegal immigrant was detained last month after allegedly setting a woman on fire and burning her alive on a subway train in Brooklyn, New York. The New York Police Department arrested 33-year-old Sebastin Zapeta, who was reportedly deported under President-elect Donald Trump’s administration but was released into the United States after illegally re-entering the country under President Joe Biden’s administration.
