President Joe Biden made yet another vintage blunder when he addressed the American Conference of Mayors on Friday.
Biden, to whom the conference gave a Lifetime Public Service award prior to his remarks, opened by mentioning that the Friday speech will be “one of the last events that ]he’ll ] be doing as president”.

He explained that the purpose I came to be around was because speaking to this meeting was the first thing I did as president. Many of you are aware that I began my career as a native councillor. I just ran for the Senate because being a local councillor is too difficult.
Biden then made the case for how, over the past four years, he had fundamentally altered the U.S. market, including granting Medicare the authority to negotiate lower the cost of some medicines for beneficiaries.
The president made reference to his earlier on Friday news that the widely used weight-loss supplement Ozempic would be included in the upcoming round of Medicare’s medication price negotiations.
However, the senator repeatedly pronounced the drug’s name.
” Pharmaceuticals that will cure cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and so much more, including Osempia — , excuse me, Ozempiac”, Biden stated before recently hesitating.
” That’s tough to say”, he joked, earning smiles from the crowd.
” Serving as your leader has been the pride of my existence”, Biden finally concluded. ” While my term in office is ending, the work continues. Your job continues”.
