This could represent a significant turning point in the ongoing conflict. Qatar and the US announced the peace on Wednesday, but Prime Minister Netanyahu’s concern for Hamas was brought about by last-minute problems.

The Israel-Hamas peace is set to begin on Sunday at 6.30 GMT, marking a critical pause in the 15-month issue. The package, mediated by Qatar, the US, and Egypt, includes a prisoner and slave trade as the first move towards de-escalation.
Primarily, three Israeli victims will be released in return for Israeli captives, with a total of 33 victims to be freed in the first 42 weeks. In trade, Israel does release hundreds of Arab prisoners.
The truce, nevertheless, is transitory, with ongoing fighting and casualties reported on the night of the contract. Gaza will soon receive humanitarian aid, and the agreement is seen as the start of more extensive agreements. Israeli forces will continue to be watchful along Gaza’s edges, with the possibility of resuming warfare if necessary.
