Manic Monday: AOC Goes on Rant Trying to Stay Relevant as Trump Takes Office

Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez appears to be desperate to stay relevant as the Trump administration moves into office by launching an unhinged attack on incoming President Trump with baseless claims. During the rant, Ocasio-Cortez threw out the go-to name-calling that socialists like her have relied upon in their effort to stop the Trump administration from returning, including calling Trump a “rapist” and “fascist.” Despite the assertions being false, she and other far leftists are using the names anyway as they desperately search for ways to make Americans dislike the leader they overwhelmingly elected.

According to the New York Post, Ocasio-Cortez let loose in a series of Instagram posts, warning her fellow socialists the day before Inauguration Day, “We are on the eve of an authoritarian administration. This is what 21st-century fascism is starting to look like.”

Ocasio-Cortez appears to have been thrown for a loop with the TikTok ban situation as incoming President Trump has said he would work with the social media company, ByteDance, after Congress approved a measure to ban it. Ocasio-Cortez initially voted against the legislation banning TikTok, but since doing so would now fall in line with incoming President Trump, she has searched for a way to wiggle out of the situation of having possibly found a common ground.

The socialist began by questioning why TikTok was mentioning working with a “private citizen” because incoming President Trump had not officially taken office yet. Despite Trump saying he would begin working on handling the ban once he takes office, Ocasio-Cortez found that she could attack the incoming President on this avenue anyway, despite her argument being barely relevant for just a few hours.

“They are signaling that they are privately collaborating, they have agreed to privately collaborate with Donald Trump and the Trump administration,” Ocasio-Cortez said of the company, adding she believes TikTok is being used as a “propaganda tool for the right,” according to The Post.

Ocasio-Cortez also made the rich assertion that it is the Trump administration that is trying to control the media. Apparently, she missed the major investigation into the censorship social media companies, including Meta, were forced to engage in as per the demands of government officials during a different administration.

“And so you can look to see how Victor Orban runs Hungary to get a taste of how they will try to govern and control media and companies in the United States,” she said.
According to The Post, “Ocasio-Cortez also referred to Trump as a ‘rapist’ Sunday a month after ABC News settled a lawsuit with the incoming president after its star anchor incorrectly said Trump was ‘found liable for rape’ during a 2024 live broadcast.”

“Let me make myself clear: I don’t celebrate rapists, so no, I’m not going to the inauguration,” she asserted in another video.

Though Ocasio-Cortez’s absence at President Trump’s inauguration has been noticed, since she drew attention to herself broadcasting it as if it were something to be proud of, she will surely not be missed at the historic and traditional celebration that unites Americans as we welcome the country’s new leadership.
