President Donald Trump dismissed retired Gen. Mark Milley from a national position and precise celebrity chef Jose Andres as one of his earliest works as president.
Hours after he was sworn into office as the land ’s 47th leader, Trump announced that his “Presidential Personnel Office is constantly in the process of identifying and removing over a thousand National Officials from the past Administration, who are not aligned with our eyesight to Make America Great Again. ”
In a post on Truth Social, Trump revealed that Milley and Andres were among the four persons he had selected earlier Tuesday night to fire quickly. Although Andres had now submitted his resignation earlier this month, Trump said he removed Andres from serving on the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition. Milley will no longer carry a place on the National Infrastructure Advisory Council.
Trump added that the first Tuesday morning statement serves as the “Official See of Dismissal” and that many similar releases are “coming immediately. ”
Milley was the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff during Trump’s last days of his first name.
Milley has become a goal of strong attention for the jobs he played while Trump was challenging the effects of the 2020 election and as one of the major U. S. military commanders at the time of the fatal 2021 departure from Afghanistan under Biden.
He had a public falling out with Trump over disputes about the 2020 election, with Milley slamming Trump’s claims that the poll had been rigged against him. After it was revealed in 2021 that the public, who feared Trump might get rogue, had called up Chinese leaders half after the 2020 election to tell them the “American state is stable ” and that China would be warned first if the United States attacked, Trump accused him of crime.
Biden tapped Andres to become co-chairman of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition in 2022.
Andres is a star chef who has cooked for the likes of former President Barack Obama and Juan Carlos, the original king of Spain. He founded the World Central Kitchen, a U. S. -based philanthropic organization that has spearheaded feeding procedures for Palestinians in Gaza.
Trump and Andres even share a story. In 2015, Andres axed a plan to put a cafe in the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D. C. , citing the senator ’s position on immigration. After the walk led to a petition from the Trump Organization, Andres sued again.
Andres blasted the leader during a 2019 meeting with the Guardian.
“[ Trump ] is not bringing out the best in all of us. He is bringing out the worst in some of us, ” the restaurant said before asserting Trump pushed an “us over them ” culture.
“ He understands there is a very simple way to consolidate those people that think only, that feeling forgotten, and where you find an army it is easier to understand your lack of success, ” Andres said.

But, in a social media post on Tuesday confirming he had resigned last week from the Council on Sports because his two-year term was up, Andres sounded a kinder word to the leader.
“ I hope @realdonaldtrump exercises his political power so the Council can continue to advocate for health and excellent health for all Americans. These are bipartisan concerns … democratic problems, ” he said. “May God give you the intellect, Mr. President, to place politics and name calling apart… and alternatively lift up the daily people working to bring America collectively. Let’s build longer chairs. ”
