The police commander in Northfield, Vermont said Monday the dying of Daniel Bermudez, of Norwalk, at a nearby military institution was not expected to terrible sing as family and friends continue to mourn his loss.
Bermudez collapsed during a coaching exercise Jan. 15 at Norwich University, a military class that also serves human students. He received health treatment at the picture and on the way to the doctor, Chief Pierre Gomez said, but he could n’t been revived.
Gomez said his office conducted an investigation and determined that Bermudez’s suicide had no legal aspect. The dying, he said, was an “unfortunate” affair.
Gomez declined to give Bermudez’s era but said the Norwalk person was a sophomore at the school. He also declined to transfer Bermudez’s cause of death, referring all inquiries to the Vermont Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, which could not be reached for comment Monday.
Bermudez was a second-semester sophomore who was piece of the Corps of Cadets receiving military coaching as part of their teaching, a spokeswoman for the school said.
“Other individuals praised him for the type of person he was, ” the official said. “They said he was driven. ”
The class held a ceremony that was attended by more than 600 kids who were part of the Corps of Cadets as well as human students, the official said.
A party of his life may be held after his family holds his death, the spokeswoman for the school said.
There was a moment of silence for Bermudez at all five of the school’s sport events with people of Bravo business, which he was a part of, in presence at each event, the official said.
Bermudez, who was set to grad in 2028, died on Jan. 15, Lt. Gen. John Broadmeadow, the president of the university, said in a statement posted on social media.
Bermudez is from Norwalk and attended open schools in the city, including Nathan Hale Middle School and Norwalk High School.
A trip may become held for Bermudez Tuesday from 5 to 9 p. m. at Raymond Funeral Home in Norwalk. His funeral services may be held Wednesday at 10 a. m. at St. Matthew Roman Catholic Church in Norwalk, followed by a funeral service at St. John’s Cemetery, even in Norwalk.
His name is listed as Daniel Andres Rojas Davila on the death home’s site.
Associates started a GoFundMe account for Bermudez’s family saying he was “loved deeply ” by his family and the other students and the community at Norwich University.
The money of the charity will be immediately donated to his family to help with any costs incurred in making arrangements for service, the GoFundMe said.
As of Monday the fundraising efforts surpassed$ 15,000.
“The lost has greatly affected our entire school community, and we are united in our pain. Our thoughts and condolences are with Daniel’s family, associates, and all those who were nearer to him, ” Broadmeadow said in the article.
“ In response to this horror, we are dedicating all available tools through our Coaching and Wellness Center to aid our students, faculty, and staff during this difficult time, ” he said in the article. “The ties that unite us at Norwich are strong, and we will continue to provide care and satisfaction to one another in the coming days and weeks. ”
