The declaration also blamed Fagan for an “ineffective implementation of Coast Guard resources to support regional border security, particularly in interdicting fentanyl and other illegal substances. ” She was even cited for problems in recruiting and difficulty in acquiring property like boats, aircraft, and other products.

Fagan was likewise terminated for her DEI initiatives.
It also cites her “excessive focus ” on “non-mission-critical” diversity efforts and an “erosion of trust ” due to her handling of Operation Fouled Anchor, an investigation in which service officials scrutinized numerous allegations of sexual assault but did not disclose them publicly.
