US Vice President JD Vance, the first millennial to hold the office, had a once-in-a-lifetime moment when he stepped into the Oval Office for the very first time, not as a visitor, but as the second-in-command to President Donald Trump.
A video shared by House speech Mike Johnson on X captured Vance’s delight as he entered the ancient area following his oath-taking service. The film shows President Trump leading Vance to the Oval Office, pausing at the porch to let him enter first.
” Wow,” Vance exclaimed as he took in the beauty of the place. Looking around in awe, he added,” This is incredible. “
Eventually, Vance took to X to share his feelings, calling the encounter “one of the best moments of my life. “
From Appalachia to the White House
Speaker Mike Johnson, who filmed the second, highlighted the significance of Vance’s trip, saying,” Only in America is a enthusiastic young man from Appalachia rise from his polite circumstances to provide the Oval for the first time as VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. “
The time of astonishment came after President Trump and Vice President Vance met with Democratic officials at the White House to explain their agenda following the opening. According to Speaker Johnson, Vance lightly mentioned that he had never visited the Oval Office before.
” I told him and President Trump that I HAD to capture the moment on picture,” Johnson said.
Reacting to the movie, one person said,” May get your business after January 20th 2029. “
” I love that you shared it but how unhappy that Biden didn’t always have his Senators to the White House,” another wrote.
” That’s great. I’m so glad for you and am so thankful that you are our Vice President,” one more person said.
