No single throws a bunch of tissue rain, or announces, “I’m having a fetus! ” For the same purpose, the New York Times did not name their article “ Undocumented Women Ask: Will My Solution of Conception Get a Resident? ” They wanted these children to be valued by the audience.
Often, fetus is the popular word for pro-abortion lawmakers, volunteer representatives, and reporters when they talk about pregnancy.
New York Times pregnancy writer Kate Zernike may create abortion-related articles without mentioning a child or fetus. When she does make mention, it is “fetus ” unless she is quoting someone who said the B-word.
When feasible, the pro-abortion action minimizes the truth of the child and tries not to mention it at all. For instance, the Maryland determine passed next year, enshrining a right to abortion in the state law, not refers to a baby or infant. It simply mentions a “right to reproductive freedom, ”– a straight that does not extend to the unborn.
