NEW DELHI: An earthquake of magnitude 4. 8 struck Myanmar first Friday, according to the National Center for Seismology.
The quake occurred at a level of 127 km, with its centre located at longitude 24. 92 N and west 94. 97 E.
This follows a scale 5. 1 disaster that jolted Myanmar earlier this month, on 3 January at 10. 02am IST, which caused no significant harm.
In December, Myanmar was hit by a 4. 2 scale disaster.
