In a late-night verification vote on Friday night, Pete Hegseth was chosen to be the secretary of defense.
After dangerous RINO Senators McConnell, Murkowski, and Collins voted “no,” Vice President JD Vance cast the tie-breaking voting on Friday.
All eyes were on McConnell after Fox News ‘ Chad Pergram suggested the Kentucky senator might defect since it already was known that GOP Senators Murkowski and Collins would vote against him on Friday night.
McConnell ended up election “no” on Friday.
After casting a “no” on Hegseth, McConnell muddled over and shook hands with Liberals.
Hegseth failed to demonstrate his ability to manage an annual budget of nearly$ 3 trillion and 3 million military personnel, McConnell claimed in the vote “no.”
Per Fox News writer Chad Pergram:
McConnell says that Hegseth’s simple desire to be a” change agent” is insufficient to replace these shoes. And “dust on boots” is hardly any use to identify this candidate from numerous previous nominees of the last ten years. Nor is it a requirement for victory. Secretary with reputable fight experience and tunnels practice have had no luck doing the job.
The security of the United States and our global interests are at stake in the hands of nearly 3 million military and civilian personnel, an annual budget of nearly$ 1 trillion, and alliances and partnerships around the world.
Mr. Hegseth has failed, as however, to show that he will pass this test. However, he is now in charge and the costs are as severe as they have ever been.
The United States is in the constant state of violent conflict between rivals who aim to endow the attempt that underlies American security and prosperity. Mr. Hegseth did not agree with this fact in his public feedback and testimony before the Armed Services Committee.
McConnell is essentially confirmed by President Trump as unimportant.
