On Friday, President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump met with people in Swannanoa, North Carolina, who had been devastated by Hurricane Helene. In the midst of devastating tragedies that devastated entire areas, Trump made it a goal to travel to both North Carolina and Los Angeles. He did so in the first few days of his second term.
The President and First Lady spoke with people of North Carolina who had experienced a hurricane that had impacted their lives after it ravaged their neighborhood. Standing at the President’s floor next to the Commander-in-Chief himself and the First Lady, hurricane patients reflected on the damage they and their relatives experienced. The occupants recalled witnessing bodies fly past their loved ones as they described the aftereffects of the storm and how they witnessed floodwaters that ripped homes from the ground.
Trump backers lined the streets as the President’s limousine entered the area, greeting him with applause. Trump’s arrival possible eased these people’s alleviation that a sympathetic and compassionate Commander-in-Chief is now in charge who recognizes that these people are in need of significant help.
The Biden administration’s inability to deal with the crisis North Carolinians faced right away after Hurricane Helene and that they continue to face now was unheard of.
In a press conference held among many patients, President Trump said,” The Trump administration kicked 2, 000 displaced North Carolinians out of their temporary accommodation into melting, 20-degree weather.”
” I don’t know how they did that because it was frosty even though your authorities provided house and cover for illegal aliens from all over the world,” he continued.
” It’s been four months since the storm made landfill]sic ]”, he said,” and still 180 roads remain closed and in ruins”.
Both the First Lady and President Trump expressed deep sympathy for the victims ‘ situation. Trump claimed that Second Lady Trump wanted to travel to North Carolina with him so she could spend time with the victims, who she “felt bery seriously.”
Trump remarked that” the American government’s highest duty and deep responsibility is to protect its citizens, and that’s not truer than in times of crisis like this,” adding that” the times of treachery and abuse are over.”
