People, only four days have passed since President Trump’s re-election, and the blatant popular takes from the left are now pouring in. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, who attributed Trump’s price increase to X, is leading the charge.

Wait.
Both the cost of hens and life were supposed to decrease.
No up.
— Hakeem Jeffries ( @RepJeffries ) January 24, 2025
Yes, you read that right. Jeffries is now lamenting that Trump hasn’t mysteriously fixed prices in just four weeks. It’s a beautiful illustration of either complete social dread or deep economic knowledge.
This set the record straight.  ,
The result of decades of Biden’s policies is the present state of the economy and inflation. We’re talking about large paying bills, regulatory excess, and an energy legislation that has sent oil prices soaring. These problems don’t get resolved immediately, let alone in four weeks.
And finally, of course, there’s the issue of the price of eggs, which Jeffries especially called out. Yes, they’ve been going up, but not totally due to inflation.
The New York Times reported Friday that” visitors in grocery stores are facing empty aisles and higher costs for what has traditionally been an inexpensive source of protein: egg.” ” And it’s good to get worse. Dangerous chicken rates have been a part of the food shopping experience since 2022 when the bird flu, or bird flu, first emerged in the United States. That virus, caused by the H5N1 disease, has infected or killed 136 million species so way”.

According to data from Expana, a company that monitors egg prices, wholesale egg prices have reached a record high of$ 7 per dozen, an increase of nearly$ 2.25 from the previous fall. The country’s population of egg-laying birds has drastically decreased, which is directly attributable to this sharp increase.
The Biden administration’s failure to do enough to contain the bird flu epidemic could be the basis for a place of blame.  ,
The New York Times ‘ chicken managing editor, Karyn Rispoli, described this outbreak as the “most devastating wave of bird flu outbreak we’ve seen since it started spreading three years ago.” ” And this time around, fields that serve the financial sector have been disproportionately impacted, leaving a big, gaping opening.”
Trump has accomplished a lot in just four times, but I don’t think Hakeem Jeffries can hold back hope that he will turn a change and lower the cost of eggs. That’s not how it works.
Trump inherited a disaster from Biden, in actuality. Inflation is at historical levels, and the cost of living is skyrocketing, and some Americans are struggling to make ends meet. These issues won’t resolve themselves in the coming weeks.

But Jeffries chooses to post about eggs as if it were some sort of gotcha time showing that Trump, just four days into his president, has failed to deliver on his economic plan. Instead of offering creative solutions or acknowledging the time it takes to change the decrease, Jeffries chooses to do so.
