    Donald Trump fires at least dozen internal government watchdogs: Report

    Immediately after taking office for his next term, US President Donald Trump apparently fired at least a dozen domestic state auditors, according to news agency AFP, citing several news programs.
    The White House staff director informed separate investigators general of at least 12 national authorities of their instant dismissal, according to The Washington Post, citing anonymous resources.
    Investigators standard are responsible for identifying and preventing scams, waste, and abuse in state functions.
    Their obligations include auditing agreements, financial matters, and individual performance, as well as investigating allegations of government staff’s breaches of laws, regulations, and social standards.
    The rejections affected some federal body including the departments of defence, position, inside and strength, along with the Environmental Protection Agency and Social Security Administration, as reported by the Post.
    ” It’s a common slaughter”, said one of the fired inspectors common, according to the Post. ” Whoever Trump puts in now will be viewed as loyalists, and that undermines the entire system”.
    Interesting to note is that during his first term, Trump had appointed the majority of the officers who had been fired.
    However, the New York Times reported, citing three unknown sources, that 17 inspectors common were dismissed, with one resource indicating the Justice Department’s monitoring national remained intact.
    Sensational candidate for Massachusetts described the dismissals as” a purge… in the middle of the night.”
    ” Inspectors general are charged with rooting out government waste, fraud, abuse, and preventing misconduct”, she said in a post on social media platform X.
    ” President Trump is removing the barriers to widespread corruption,” he said.
    On his first full day in office, Trump revealed plans to remove approximately 1, 000 opponents from the US government.
    The 78-year-old Republican commenced his second term by issuing multiple executive orders targeting government policies on immigration, citizenship, gender, diversity and climate- several of which face legal challenges.
