According to The Daily Beast, US President Donald Trump’s followers are now calling for his mouth to be carved on Mount Rushmore.
Corey Lewandowski, a former Trump aide, suggested this dialogue as a constitutionally acceptable alternative to extending Trump’s president beyond two terms during his look on a traditional social media program.
” Some really wise senator should go and say, Donald Trump’s face on Mount Rushmore”, Lewandowski told Benny Johnson, network of The Benny Show.
What are you waiting for? In the House, we received the vote. We got the vote in the Senate. I am aware that a man, named Donald John Trump, will mark it. Let’s get it done to mourn what this boy’s been able to achieve for this state”, he added.
The advice received urgent support on X, with The Benny Show’s professional manufacturer, Alex Lorusso, sharing the video while asking which legislator would start this proposal.
However, Florida-based Representative Anna Paulina Luna, a steadfast Trump supporter, responded to Lorusso with hours and stated that she has begun preparing the necessary documents.
” I’m basically filing the policy as we speak”, she wrote.
The plan aims to add Trump alongside the existing leaders- George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln- on the Mount Rushmore statue in South Dakota. The national sculptures, completed in 1941, feature mind measuring about 60 feet in height.
Trump’s supporters are making yet another effort to occupy his spot on this important American monument.
Earlier, Trump’s team contacted South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem in 2019 to understand the needs for adding another political monument to the memorial, according to The New York Times ‘ 2020 report
In 2018, Noem disclosed that being featured on Mount Rushmore remains one of the government’s desires. Trump officially expressed this desire at a meeting in the Oval Office. ” I started laughing. He wasn’t laughing, so he was utterly serious”, she said.
