House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N. Y., urged Democrats to fight President , Donald Trump‘s agenda “in the streets” . , A senior , White House , official told Fox News,” Hakeem Jeffries must apologize for this disgraceful call to violence”.
Jeffries made the remarks in response to a problem from Eric Adams, the mayor of New York City, about whether or not President Trump was being sufficiently retaliated against. Especially, if Adams ‘ failing to go against Trump made him a” great fit” to guide New York.
” Right today, we’re going to keep our attention on the need to look out for daily New Yorkers and everyday Americans who are being attacked by an extreme MAGA Republican plan that aims to lower taxes on wealthy individuals, donors, and entrepreneurs before passing the bill on to working-class Americans across the country,” Jeffries said.
” That’s not acceptable. We are going to battle it lawfully. In the authorities, we will contest it. We’re going to battle it in the roads” he concluded.
Some people criticized Jeffries for his speech on social press and compared him to Maxine Waters. In , 2018 the Democrat Representative from California encouraged her followers to fight back against the Trump presidency regarding the White House’s “zero-tolerance” immigration legislation.
” Make sure we show up whenever necessary,” he said. And if you see anything from that government in a cafe, in a department store, at a gas station, you get out and you create a group and you push up on them and you tell them they’re not welcomed again, anywhere”, Waters told followers at a Los Angeles opposition.

The idea that Leader Jeffries supports violence is ridiculous, Jeffries ‘ spokesperson Christie Stephenson told Fox News Digital. Republicans are the party that pardons violent felons who assault law enforcement. The right to peacefully petition the government is provided by John Lewis ‘ party.
