In response to widespread calls to remove soldiers following the death of 14 North American troops, President Cyril Ramaphosa vowed on Monday to continue supporting the Democratic Republic of Congo.
M23 fighters supported by Rwanda have made significant gains in the eastern DRC, claiming the big city of Goma last week and promising to march across the nation to Kinshasa, the money.
It is the most recent increase in a mineral-rich area that has been ravaged by years of fighting involving lots of armed parties. Regional alliances have held emergency summits over the spiralling tensions.

” The implementation… is foolish and unjustifiable”, Earth head Julius Malema said Monday.
” South Africa needs to withdraw its forces in order to ensure their safety as the M23 rebels become more hostile.”
Ramaphosa emphasized that the SADC quest had deadlines for operation and a deadline.
” The quest will end when the various confidence-building procedures are put in place and the peace we have called for is established,” he said.
There must be an instant end to conflicts and a peace that must be respected by all in order for a lasting peace to get secured in the eastern DRC.
‘ Way ahead’
Last year, the SADC convened a conference with the eight-nation East African community to discuss” the way forth regarding the security situation in the DRC.”
Following a meeting held by SADC, which reiterated unwavering help for the DRC and reiterated support for Angola and Kenya’s counseling work.
In addition, officials from the summit’s address in Harare, Zimbabwe, traveled to the DRC to check on whether SADC troops are healthy and to help repatriate the country’s still-infected and dying.
South Africa dominates the SADC power, which is estimated to number around 1, 300 soldiers, but Malawi and Tanzania even contribute men.

Spat with Rwanda

Ramaphosa and his Rwandan equivalent agreed on the need for a peace after the military ‘ deaths, according to his office.
