The Federalist learned that Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose’s launch of an online portal on Monday will improve citizens ‘ ability to verify voter lists accuracy.
” Transparency earns confidence, and I’ll proceed to do everything in my power to make Ohio’s primaries the most visible in the country”, LaRose said in a statement.
According to an office press release obtained by The Federalist, the new information website may offer “daily changes of voter registration shifts across Ohio’s 88 regions, including new registrations, updates, and removals from voting rolls”. According to a February 2024 letter released by LaRose, local poll boards are required to “generate regular snapshots of their state voter registration database and offer those snapshots to the Secretary of State’s office.”
Citizens are encouraged to” solicit” data from the new online website and use it to “report any anomalies” to state election officials in order to keep accurate voter rolls, according to the GOP secretary of state’s business.
This new device, which comes on the feet of Ohio’s smoothest presidential election in its history, will foster greater trust in our elections and strengthen integrity in 2025 and beyond, LaRose said.
The new website is a result of LaRose’s implementation of the DATA Act, which was approved in July 2023 with the intention to improve the accuracy and clarity of Ohio’s vote data and voting record preservation. The Ohio Republican created the state’s Office of Data Analytics and Archives that same quarter, which is in charge of such things, using the government’s rules.
One of the many steps taken by LaRose is the opening of the Buckeye State’s innovative online site to ensure accurate and fair votes.
In 2023, Ohio was among numerous Republican-led states to withdraw from the Electronic Registration Information Center ( ERIC ), a leftist-linked voter roll “maintenance” group.
As The Federalist recently reported, the organization was founded by Democrat activist , David Becker , and” sold to state as a quick and easy way to release their voting floats”. In reality, ERIC , inflates voting rolls , by requiring member states to touch eligible but unregulated occupants to register to vote.
ERIC also reportedly shares voter roll information with the Center for Election Innovation and Research ( CEIR ), another Becker-founded group known for its” Zuckbucks” interference in the 2020 election.
In a March 2023 letter explaining his decision to withdraw from ERIC, LaRose noted that the organization “repeatedly]chose ] to dismiss needs to adopt measures that would boost confidence in its performance, encourage growth in its membership, and ensure not only its present security but also its durability”. Since then, Ohio has established interstate voter roll data-sharing agreements with several other states to maintain up-to-date voter registration lists.
Other states that have withdrawn from ERIC in recent years include Texas, Virginia, and Florida, and others.
