Tabloid Aftonbladet claimed to have spoken with the family of the person who is thought to be the gunman. He was described as a loner who had “limited touch with his home for years” according to the tabloid.
According to Scandinavian public broadcaster SVT, the intruder, like many others in Sweden, was carrying a searching tool during the firing. The intruder lived in Orebro, it said.
The shooter changed his record several years ago, according to SVT, Aftonbladet, and Expressen newspaper, with no explanation for why.
