On Wednesday night, a Japan Airlines planes collided with a parked Delta Airlines plane while it was tying the flights at Seattle-Tacoma Airport, causing harm to both aircrafts but no injuries were reported.
The incident took place at 10: 17 am when the moving plane’s aircraft struck the neck part of the parked Delta plane.
The Japan Airlines wing was sliced way through the neck part of the Delta aircraft, according to travelers who were at the airport.
According to the airport officials, the incident merely slowed down daily operations. No accidents have been reported at this time. SEA is working with both flights to properly deplane customers and send them to the terminal”, the carrier’s said.
The incident occurred as the US aerospace industry was experiencing growing issues.
Just a month prior, a collision between a US Army aircraft and an American Airlines plane at Reagan National Airport claimed 67 life.
Afterwards, in Philadelphia, a skilled transport plane crashed onto a packed street and burst into flames, resulting in seven fatalities- six aboard the aircraft and one pedestrian.
Adding to these incidents, the Federal Aviation Administration’s Notice to Air Missions system ( NOTAM ), crucial for communicating flight safety information, experienced a failure on Saturday night.
Although the method was operational by Sunday, the network’s disturbance had now resulted in hundreds of aircraft difficulties across the network.
