Scott Turner, the secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, announced on Thursday that the office would suspend the implementation of its” Equal Access Rule” in line with President Donald Trump‘s assault on “gender identity” speech in federal laws.

HUD’s Equal Access Rule, installed by former President Barack Obama in 2012 and updated in 2016, guaranteed access to affordable housing courses regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or marital status. The regulation said evidence suggested “lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender ( LGBT ) individuals and families” were being “arbitrarily excluded from housing opportunities in the private sector”.
HUD officials informed the Washington Examiner that the pause did not influence protections for marital status or sexual orientation but will return the “gender identity” definition to biological sex, which will remain protected.
Turner made the announcement at a press conference on Thursday, only one morning after being formally confirmed and sworn in to his new location.
According to Trump, “let me get obvious: we at this company are carrying out the objective laid out by him when he signed an executive order on January 20th, 2015, to regain natural truth to the federal government,” he said, referring to his Day One directive to the federal government to simply understand male and female. It means removing the far-left female philosophy and allowing the government to go against the will of the Lord.

In all applicable Federal policies and documents, according to Trump’s executive order on January 20th,” Defending Women From Gender Ideology Extremism And Restoring Biological Truth To The Federal Government” specifically states that “every agency and all Federal employees acting in an official capacity on behalf of their agency shall use the term” sex” and not “gender”
During Trump’s second term in office, Turner, who was recently tapped to lead the White House’s Opportunity Zone program, claimed on Thursday that” God’s Grace and his independence” had been working with him to assume the helm of HUD.
” From washing dishes, playing college basketball, playing in the NFL, serving in the House, building corporations, a foundation”, he said in a speech delivered at HUD office. ” And to now remain with you as the secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, I am really honored, and I want to motivate people in these: I am a living see. Your situation do not affect your ability or chance to succeed.
