Ellen Weintraub, director of the Federal Election Commission, claimed she received a notice from President Donald Trump informing her that she had been fired from her place, a see she claimed was unlawful.
In her social media post, Weintraub shared the text. ” You are now removed as a Member of the Federal Election Commission, successful immediately”, the White House notice dated Jan. 31 says. ” Thank you for your service on the Commission”.
Weintraub is one of three Democrats in the FEC, along with two Republican and a vacant chair.

Since its inception, the Trump administration has attempted to reform a sizable part of the federal government. Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) responded to the Weintraub notice soon after she posted it in a generally negative way.
