Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA ) suggested his feuds with President Donald Trump are mostly just for show, calling them” just a little bit of noise” amid California’s recovery efforts to raging wildfires.
” I mean, we were involved in 100 claims going back and forth. You may look at the posts up then, calling me a villain, you know, the worst government, and yet we were still working up and all that was a little bit of noise”, Newsom said on CNN. ” So it just feels so common, and in that regard, I want to continue to respect the office of the presidency, to honor his authority, and to also participate in a productive dialogue when it comes to issues of situations. But again, we had that base of a marriage for times during the COVID crisis, and it was a wonderful relationship therefore, interestingly”.
When asked if he and the senator were feuding in public but are more personalike, Newsom responded,” It’s a joke and it’s not. He said he’s finally focused on benefits. He added that during his conference with Trump, his focus on “getting things done” was “demonstrably the situation.”
In light of the upcoming 2028 Olympics, the government also described how both he and Trump are interested in supporting Los Angeles people. He therefore cited Lee Zeldin, the superintendent of the Environmental Protection Agency, as saying that his work on helping the city complete its second phase of debris removal, which is being carried out “at a record pace.”
” And I think it’s that attitude that we brought to the gathering, and the attitude that emerged from that conference: the president wants to address this issue with a degree of sophistication and target to get the job done and getting people’s lives back,” Newsom said.

After nearly a fortnight since they started on January 7, Southern California’s fire were suddenly contained earlier this month. A preliminary estimate from AccuWeather in mid-January found that the wildfires were the costliest in U. S. history, with the damage valued between$ 135 billion and$ 150 billion.
The government has been served with a recall efforts by the firm Saving California in the wake of the fire containment efforts. Beyond citing his management of the fire, the complaint even claims Newsom has overseen rising crime, homelessness, drug use, and cost of living in the state of California.
