A 24-year-old advocate was detained on Thursday after reportedly tearing down an American flag and putting it in place with a Mexican flag at Hart Park in Bakersfield, California.
The girl, identified as Crystal Aguilar, even threatened park rangers with murder during the arrest, according to body cam images.
According to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, Aguilar cut the string securing the pole, threw the US flag in the dirt and raised Mexico’s federal symbol.

Deputies arrived around 9: 36 am ( local time ) after receiving multiple reports of an attempted flag theft, as per Fox News. When they arrived, authorities located her white coupe parked in the wet grass next to the pole.
When park rangers confronted Aguilar, she shouted, “You’re not going to show me what to do, this is Mexican territory, motherf***er”!.
She therefore resisted arrest, with soldiers restraining her as she threatened their people.
” Touch me, motherf***ker, and when your kids die… I’m Mexican. I’m Ancient, motherf***ker and you’re going to pay”.
She even yelled,” My dad is going to shoot you and all your home”.
Aguilar is a well-known campaigner for immigrant rights in Kern County who has recently alleged that her Hispanic families were deported when she was a kid and that she was a child’s activist.
Aguilar was booked into Lerdo Jail and charged with threatening a harmony officer, theft, resisting arrest, trespass and weed hands.
Her bail is set at$ 20, 689, and she is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, as per Fox News.
