Accenture is rolling back its diversity, equity, and inclusion ( DEI ) goals, citing changes in the US political landscape, according to an internal memo from CEO Julie Sweet.
The decision comes in response to current executive orders by President Donald Trump directed at La programs in the entire federal government and the private sector.
As per The Guardian, Sweet stated that Accenture had start” sunsetting” its 2017 variety objectives, along with job growth plans for “people of certain statistical groups”.
Additionally, the letter stated that the company would stop submitting data to outside variety measuring surveys and that La policies would no longer be used to evaluate employee performance.

Accenture joins another big corporations, including Meta, Alphabet, and Amazon, in scaling back their La activities. In response to Trump’s professional orders, Google lately reduced its diversity hiring goals.
Accenture, which employs around 799, 000 people worldwide, had previously committed to sex and cultural diversity goals. Women currently represent 48 % of the company’s workforce and hold 30 % of managing director positions, according to its latest annual report.
Sweet added that Accenture would “refresh our skill strategy by evaluating additional partnerships on diversity.”
The rollback coincides with wider business swings as conservative activists and constitutional pressures challenge US DEI-focused policies.
