Donald Trump‘s national security advisor Mike Waltz on Sunday said that Canadians are keen to give up their citizenship in favour of becoming American citizens.
The safety chief claimed that based on his relationships with American expats in Florida, their country’s citizens want to keep because of “liberal” plans during his look on Meet the Press with Kristen Welker.
” I think the Canadian people would —many of them would —love to join the United States with no tariffs, with lower taxes”, he said when questioned about outgoing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s assertion that President Trump was” serious” about annexing the country.
He continued,” I have all kinds of companions down in Florida who are People who are fleeing, many of whom have moved in, and who are liberal.”
Welker challenged his speech, saying,” I think some Indians may disagree with you. But just yes or no-is]Trump ] planning to annex Canada”?
” Sure”, Waltz responded. ” I don’t think there’s any plans to invade Canada, if that’s what you’re talking about. However, there are many individuals who approve of what we have here and do not approve of Trudeau’s ten years of liberal, democratic government.
