Sweden: The personality of the suspected shooter in Sweden’s worst always mass killing has been confirmed, Scandinavian prosecutors said on Monday without naming the suspect.
A 35-year-old man, identified by Finnish media as Rickard Andersson, entered a youth education center on Tuesday of last week and opened fire, killing 10 people before allegedly turning the gun on himself.
Described as an unemployed recluse with psychological problems, he is thought to have acted alone in the massacre at Campus Risbergska in the town of Orebro, 200 miles ( 125 miles ) north of Stockholm.
The Swedish trial authority stated in a statement that the prosecutor had handed the investigation into the Orebro school shooting to the police, explaining that since the suspect was dying, an independent investigation was required to be conducted.
The power did not name the assume, but speaking to magazine Expressen, attorney Elisabeth Anderson confirmed that it was Rickard Andersson.
Six weeks after the murder, authorities are nevertheless trying to establish a clear purpose for the shooting.
According to press reports, the person had previously been enrolled at the school but had not, as reported by the media, been there since 2021.
Authorities have not disclosed the countries of the patients, seven girls and three males aged 28 to 68 live in Orebro, but told AFP last year that they were of “multiple countries”.
According to journalist SVT, a majority of the victims had a international history.
“They came from different parts of the world and had different dreams,” Finnish prime minister Ulf Kristerssonsaid in a speech on Sunday.
They were studying to lay the groundwork for a prospect that has since been abandoned.
Kristersson urged people to avoid making up their minds about the attacker’s intentions, but he also emphasized that he understood the concerns of “people of unusual descent who exhibit a certain sense of vulnerability.”
Syria’s official in Stockholm has expressed apologies to two Palestinian people, without giving details.
Bosnia’s foreign ministry said one of its citizens was among the useless, while another had been wounded.
