The U.S. Naval Academy is reviewing school-sponsored venues and actions to make sure they are in line with President Donald Trump’s derogatory language in the federal government, The Federalist has learned.
Trump has resigned from the White House and signed a number of executive orders that restore the military and governmental agencies ‘ equality. The directives precisely get the cancellation of all “diversity, capital, and inclusion”, or La, programs, positions, and policies, which usually prioritize an adult’s characteristics such as competition and sex over merit.
Last year, it was reported that West Point, the U. S. Army’s club, disbanded about a hundred identity-based leagues in compliance with the government’s La orders. The organizations terminated due to their involvement with the school’s past La company included the Society of Black Engineers at West Point, the Asian-Pacific Forum Club, the pro-LGBT team Spectrum, and others.
A Naval Academy representative told The Federalist that the school “is committed to implementing all Executive Orders in alignment with the Department of Defense and the Department of the Navy” and that a schoolwide analysis of existing clubs is being conducted in order to ensure compliance with Trump’s orders barring DEI.
The representative stated that” we are reviewing all clubs and extracurricular activities to ensure alignment with applicable Executive Orders and will update implementation guidance as needed.”
The Naval Academy currently lists several identity-based clubs on its website, including the Midshipmen Black Studies Club, Society of Women Engineers, Italian-American Midshipmen Club, and more.
No Naval Academy clubs have been disbanded as of this article’s publication, according to the school representative.
According to a memo sent to academy staff in late January by Superintendent Yvette Davids, which was later made available by Fox News, the school is” taking steps to close all agency Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility ( DEIA ) offices and end all DEIA-related contracts in accordance with President Trump’s executive orders.” According to the outlet, the academy claimed that “it hasn’t had a DEI office since at least the summer of 2024…  , and that no office has been closed as a result of the executive order.”

The Naval Academy has notably been accused of violating its school admissions policies by using race.
Students for Fair Admissions ( SFFA ), a group known as Students for Fair Admissions, claimed in a lawsuit filed against the academy in October 2023 that the Naval Academy is “engaging in racial balancing in their admissions of new classes.” The organization asserted specifically that the school favors applicants who are black, Hispanic, and Native American over applicants who are white and Asian.
SFFA is the organization that brought lawsuits against the University of North Carolina and Harvard University’s race-based admissions policies to the United States Supreme Court a few years ago. The high court disagreed with SFFA and stated that the aforementioned universities ‘ use of affirmative action policies during the admissions process was against the 14th Amendment. However, the decision did not take into account the use of such affirmative action policies by America’s military academies.
In December 2024, a federal judge decided to dismiss SFFA’s lawsuit against the Naval Academy, causing the organization to file an appeal with the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
The revelation from Monday came the day after Trump announced via Truth Social that he had “ordered the immediate dismissal of the Board of Visitors for the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Coast Guard.” The president cited the” we will have the strongest Military in History, and that begins with appointing new individuals to these Boards,” and how” America’s Service Academies have been infiltrated by Woke Leftist Ideologues over the last four years.”
” We must make the Military Academies GREAT AGAIN”! he added.
