Luigi Mangione, the accused killer of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, has accepted the donation from his supporters and will unitize that for his legal defence his lawyer Karen Friedman Agnifilo said Monday in a statement. Luigi who became an overnight sensation after he shot Brian Thompson — a crime that he did not plead guilty to — appreciated the outpouring of support of people, the lawyer said. The fund was created by December 4 Legal Committee who made Karen Agnifilo’s statement public.
Luigi is aware of the account and greatly appreciates the generosity of the donors. My client plans on utilizing it to combat all three of the extraordinary cases against him”, Karen Friedman Agnifilo, Mangione’s direct defense lawyer, said in a Monday speech, according to the December 4 Legal Committee, which created the bank.
The December 4 ( D4 ) Legal Committee describes itself as” a team of 15 volunteers around the United States” that was” created independently by Mangione’s supporters on his behalf”.
director Sam Beard stated in a speech,” We’re thrilled that Luigi is accepting these money so that he can attach the strongest defense possible.” The private health insurance sector in America has ruined many lives by denying patients access to basic health care and entangling families in medical debt. It’s no wonder that Luigi’s admitted actions are understood and supported by tens of millions of hard-working Americans”.
They claimed that the charity garnered more than$ 290, 000 from more than 10, 000 individual funds. Additionally, it was made evident that Mangione’s wealthy community, which provided for his Ivy League training, does not reimburse his legal costs.
Mangione, 26, was vilified by a group of people who are unhappy with the healthcare industry, particularly United Healthcare. Despite never having a client, Mandanione’s destination was a large insurance company known for rejecting statements. Angelino’s appearance and history won over the people who offered to raise money for him.
