Republicans are not attempting to end birthright citizenship, according to Rep. Brian Babin (R-TX ), but rather to reformulate the issue, which has already experienced several legal setbacks from judges.
On Fox News ‘ America Reports, Babin argued that because of a misunderstanding of this 14th Amendment, no way in hell did the Founding Fathers or the Congress of 1868 actually plan for unlawful immigrants to enter our country or to delivery tourists to millionaires from China and other countries. There are three situations where one of the parents must meet this in order for the child to be eligible for citizenship and become a citizen of the United States of America, as you have already said.
When asked if he thought there were enough votes in Congress to get his act to the president’s office, Babin said there are between 50 and 60 people in favor of it and that there are probably more people who had again it. The president’s ability to define his executive order may be made by the bill’s passage when it is presented to Trump’s desk.
To go, two-thirds of both the House and Senate would need to approve the bill, as did 75 % of state legislature.

The Supreme Court is expected to hear the constitutional arguments over the administrative order, as Trump has pledged to file appeals all the way up to the justices if necessary.
