Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI ) posted a social media video on Monday to ease the “anxiety” of Michiganders living under a Trump administration.
” Over the past few weeks, I’ve been talking to a lot of Michigan residents throughout our position. In those meetings, I’ve heard a lot of people ask: ‘ What are we supposed to do?'” she said in an X article on Monday.
” There’s a lot of stress, worry, and anger”, she lamented.
Items feel uncertain proper now— I hear you. But here’s what I know: Michiganders are strong. We show off for each other. And no matter what’s thrown our way, we find a way forwards.

” Let’s not overlook that we have been around before. When I first took department on 2019, it was Donald Trump’s second word and we had a Republican-controlled Michigan legislature”, she continued.
” And even with those conflict, we got a lot of important things done”, she said in the social media picture.
The Michigan government said that there are today “attacks on LGBTQ+ group, reproductive rights, and economic security”.
She touted how in Michigan, she had “expanded privileges for the LGBTQ+ area and passed legislation expanding sexual right”.
Whitmer claimed in a Trump time that she would do “everything” in her strength to “protect your people, your right, and your cards”.
She then urged Michiganns to contact their state politicians in Lansing or to visit their “representatives in Congress” if they are unhappy with what is happening there.
The government also urged protesters to visit the White House. In a different social media post, she then provided the telephone number for the White House.

She said that people if” be engaged” as she concluded her information.
Her message was sent the same day she demanded a$ 3 billion proposal to fix Michigan’s roads by enacting an additional 32 % wholesale marijuana product tax. In her novel strategy, she promised to go after “big technology business”, such as Amazon for wearing down the roads in the state.
